**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Manager, CSEDI, the incumbent will provide support in the development of educational and training materials, manage CSEDI social media and communications, and build and maintain partnerships with external community partners. Working to support student EDI at Laurier, CSEDI engages actively in the following core areas: i) community building through student-led collectives ii) education and advocacy, and iii) research and policy development. The Resource Development and Outreach Specialist will support CSEDI to foster a culture of inclusion on campus through educational equity initiatives, including the development of EDI-focused learning materials for internal stakeholders and educational resources that communicate CSEDI’s programming, events, and support services. The incumbent will be responsible for developing components of programs and initiatives that advance strategic EDI objectives. The incumbent will lead social media content creation and communications management for CSEDI. They will also strengthen pre-existing relationships with community partners across campuses while building new collaborations with community EDI practitioners in Kitchener-Waterloo, Brantford, and Milton through coordinated outreach strategies. The Outreach Specialist will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure that student EDI programming is achieving maximum impact for equity-deserving students.

Using extensive knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion in post-secondary education and adult education principles, the incumbent must be self-motivated, creative and comfortable delivering information to a variety of audiences. They must also demonstrate excellent organization, time management, creativity, communication, interpersonal, self-management, and problem-solving skills.

**Communications & Outreach**
- Provide leadership in CSEDI relationship building and process development with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive marketing and communications efforts, including the development of CSEDI communication materials and educational resources.
- Liaise with campus partners for pan-institutional programming such as Black History Month.
- Ensure continuity of programming and communications across campuses.
- Undertake efforts to build community awareness of equity and inclusion through education-related initiatives on campus.
- Invest in building positive working relationships with Laurier community members to support the overall CSEDI mandate.
- Oversee and maintain websites, promotional materials, and social media messaging.
- Promote events and programming in student EDI across campus community
- Organize and run community building and engagement initiatives for CSEDI

- Develop EDI-focused resources to complement CSEDI’s educational and awareness initiatives.
