Maintenance Technician

Upstay is looking for a Full Time Maintenance Technician to join our team in Canada Get Your Resume Ready
The Maintenance Technician role is one of the most critical positions within the company. You will be working alongside an experienced team that includes the Operations Manager, the housekeeping team and the guest experience team to coordinate and verify urgent and trivial maintenance requests in preparation for upcoming guests and current guests.
What You’ll Do:
Perform maintenance to our properties such as repairing furniture, unclogging drains, painting, and replacing broken items.
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units, garbage disposals, electrical panels, fuses, plumbing basics, shower heads, sink hoses, changing gaskets, toilet seat lids, wax rings, levers, flaps, drywall, paint, caulking, appliance work, power tools, tile and flooring experience, cement, etc.
Minor repairs and general maintenance of small appliances
Troubleshoot and configure Wi-Fi routers and door locks
Assist with furniture installation, constructing furniture, installation of cabinetry and mounting TVs
Removal of garbage and debris when necessary
Occasional cleaning of the units required
Performing other duties identified or as assigned
What You’ll Bring:
- Prior and proven residential maintenance experience
- Fantastic ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues
- Experience with basic power tools and owns their own equipment
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast paced environment

**Experience**:
- Residential Property Maintenance: 2 years (required)
License/Certification:
- Driving License and a reliable car to perform the job (required)

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
