We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our client's team at their Ancaster facility. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment and maintaining a safe work environment.
Salary
The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate of $44.86, with additional premiums for night shifts ($1.20/hr) and weekends ($2/hr). This translates to an estimated annual salary of approximately $93,000.
Job Description
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing electrical/mechanical support to all departments within the facility
- Assisting in the installation of new equipment and ensuring it meets required GMP standards
- Troubleshooting mechanical or electrical breakdowns in the production process
- Performing proactive maintenance and contributing to correcting problems before they become downtime issues
- Ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to all required electrical codes
- Using SAP system for work capture, parts sign out, and confirming time
- Providing accurate shift reports detailing parts used, downtime, and root cause analyses
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Knowledge of PLCs (AB/Siemens) programming, data collection, and troubleshooting
- Industrial Electrician 442A or Construction and Maintenance Electrician 309A certification
- A certificate in Programmable Logic Control is considered an asset
- Good mechanical aptitude and dexterity, as well as attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
