Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is a junior position which contributes and
participates in activities related to preventative and unscheduled maintenance to support the team, with a
goal of providing exceptional resident satisfaction through the delivery of great service to all residents at all
times.

**Responsibilities**
Support preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, lighting,
electrical, elevating devices, roofing and life safety systems and record activities utilizing Yardi
Voyager Mobile Maintenance;
Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of parking areas, exterior grounds, garbage areas,
mechanical rooms and other common areas including litter pick‐up, sweeping, shoveling, pressure
washing, or other as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Community Manager;
Comply with regular fire and life safety standards including monthly testing and annual drills;
Understand and adhere to QuadReal’s Health and Safety policy; ensure a thorough knowledge and
understanding of emergency procedures including fire, flood, and mold remediation;
Familiarity with the emergency operation of electrical systems, elevator, boiler/chiller, fire panel and
life safety systems, mechanical systems, sprinklers and timer systems;
Assist with the coordination and supervision of trades work such as painters, electricians, plumbers
and accompany contractors into occupied suites;
Uphold QuadReal’s mission, vision, and values serving as a brand and cultural ambassador for our
residents, co‐workers, vendors, and the public;
Professionally and courteously handle all inquiries, feedback, complaints, or concerns and interact
with residents in a diplomatic manner;
Emergency response and on‐call duty, as required; and
Other related duties as required.

Must be able to lift at least 25 kilograms.

**Experience and Qualifications**
Experience with general maintenance duties;
Ability to communicate with co‐workers and supervisors effectively and professionally, both oral and
written;
Strong ability to develop and sustain cooperating working relationships with staff, contractors, the
public, and especially residents;
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite; and
Familiarity with smart phone and tablet technology.
