The Role
This position is responsible to coordinate the handling of documentation and advances for clearance, delivery of freight after clearance, and monitoring and control all entry/entry summary preparation to ensure shipments are entered in accordance with the Canada Customs Act.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers.
- Complete more complex customs entries with mínimal guidance.
- Complete high volume of entries as defined by performance benchmarking
- Resolves issues that arise with Customs clearance (reject notices, eManifest errors, paper packages, RMD Corrections) with mínimal guidance.
- Ability to accurately complete final Invoicing of customs entries to CBSA within the allotted timeframe.
- Review accuracy of entries complete by other team members as required.
- Handles queries in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
- Clears and trace shipments through to delivery.
- Request payment, original documents, and send delivery instructions as required.
- Reports issues to Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Supports fellow team members and Team Leader with tasks as needed/required.
- Nurture client relationships to ensure repeat business.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
- Intermediate MS Office experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
