Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, the Coordinator, Implementation (Cancer Programs) will provide coordination, operational, and administrative support to facilitate program initiatives and priorities.

The successful applicant should be able to work effectively as a part of a dedicated team and be passionate about supporting initiatives that improve the quality of Ontario’s cancer system. The individual will be interested in learning about the organization and will be able to see their daily activities in the context of organizational goals. As the first point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders, this individual will demonstrate professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and excellent judgement and decision-making skills.

Here is what you will be doing:
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with key internal and external partners. Acts as the first point of contact for stakeholder questions and concerns, manages incoming inquiries and triages requests as required. Ensures that matters are handled in a timely fashion, with attention to detail, accuracy and strict confidentiality.- Oversee the Cancer Quality Council of Ontario (CQCO) Secretariat’s ongoing operations, including:
- Planning and coordinating Council meetings through scheduling, developing agendas and meeting materials, preparing meeting minutes and summaries, submitting expense reports, and providing ad-hoc support to CQCO members as needed.-
- Supporting CQCO Chair and Vice-Chair with member recruitment, managing succession planning, and Governance and Nominating Committee meeting coordination and preparation.-
- Lead the planning and execution of Quality and Innovation Awards, including:
- Developing and managing project plans, timelines, and status reports to ensure the event is completed on time, on budget, and with high quality results.-
- Preparing sponsorship materials, including briefing notes, business case for sponsorship, and sponsorship agreement.Planning and executing the awards ceremony, including developing an approach for the ceremony, identifying content for videos showcasing the work of the initiatives, preparing certificates and plaques, and providing feedback to Communications on news releases, media backgrounder, and social media content.-
- Presenting engagement statistics to CQCO.-
- Provide content development and operational support to the Cancer System Quality Index, including:
- Scheduling and attending, as directed, consultation and data review meetings with programs and clinicians.-
- Conducting jurisdictional scans of relevant disease-specific indicators and classify each indicator by care continuum, high-level category/sub-category, quality domain, and outcome/process.-
- Researching and identifying data and indicator methodology for potential jurisdictional comparators.-
- Creating data visualization for all indicators, including interactive charts in high charts, and donut graphs and line charts in Excel.-
- Drafting content including indicator write-ups, focus stories, and briefing notes.-
- Develop correspondence, presentations, slides, reports, meeting/event evaluations and other documentation as required.- Manages office supplies and maintains effective electronic and paper-based filing system- Manage the content of internal and external websites.- Support development of tools and templates, and where required conducts training courses on how to use them.- Coordinate, schedule and manage logistics for ad hoc logistic meetings with internal and external individuals and groups, to ensure activities and deliverables are aligned with plans.- Ensure that all pending documentation is brought forward when necessary and according to appointments and deadlines.- Perform other related duties as required to support the Program Design and Improvement Program
