**Responsibilities**:
The Research Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the logístical and day-to-day activities of the NeuPaRT (Neurologic Physiology after Removal of Therapy) study. The role will develop and update a project plan, and assist with the design, implementation and evaluation of research project components. The Research Project Manager will coordinate the successful implementation of the project, and ensure that the research outcomes are achieved on time and within budgetary constraints. The role will also communicate progress updates to stakeholders and schedule project meetings, respond to inquiries related to the research, and support the collection, analysis and dissemination of research results.

**Qualifications**:

- Education:
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., neuroscience, life sciences, Business/Administration)
- Project Management Professional certification completed or in progress

**Experience**:
- 3 years' experience in project management
- Experience assisting with the preparation of research budgets and monitoring accounts; experience conducting interviews for research preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Familiarity with financial principles and budgeting
- Knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing research in an academic environment and of best practices for reviewing and writing grant proposals
- In-depth knowledge of techniques for planning, managing and coordinating projects, with competing priorities that involve a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to ensure expenditures and resources are within allotments, and to make appropriate modifications when required
- Familiarity with techniques for updating, managing and extracting data from a research database
- Ability to collaborate across internal and external boundaries to meet common objectives, improve outcomes and support work beyond one's own unit
- Verbal communication skills to clearly express ideas in an objective manner, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the University’s events and

activities- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to investigate defined issues, solicit input, and suggest remedies and alternative approaches that meet the needs of the situation
- Project management skills to manage a project from conception to completion within tightly prescribed timelines
- Proven ability and natural inclination to develop relationships by interacting with people in a professional, respectful and diplomatic manner
