Hamilton, Canada Mohawk College Full time

The incumbent is the key point of contact in the Parking Service department, providing information and resolution for all items related to Parking Services and use of parking facilities by the College Community. This position is responsible for Parking, including assisting cardholders with problems, printing cards, deactivating cards.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Customer Service (assist visitors and permit holders admittance to parking lots, process-parking payments and provide wayfinding to customers). Explaining fines to customers.
- Drive the parking vehicle with care; patrol the parking lots, assist parking staff with all automation issues that may arise; ensure charge level is adequate and report immediately to supervisor any mechanical issues with the vehicle.
- Observe and report all parking lot and automation equipment deficiencies and report immediately to Parking Office. This includes but not limited to signage, automation equipment, and parking lot debris.
- Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
The successful applicant must have:

- A minimum two (2) year Post-Secondary Diploma in Police Foundations, Law and Security Administration or in a related field.
- Parking Customer Service Experience.
- AIMS software/Mobile experience.
- Genetec license plate recognition hardware experience.
- Nonviolent crisis intervention experience.
- Parking enforcement experience.
- Health and Safety certification.
- Nonviolent crisis intervention certification.
- Experience in an enforcement roll obtained through Municipal By Law.
- Parking and traffic regulations experience.
- License plate recognition experience both software and hardware.
- Experience and understanding of the Ontario private property act.
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion with the ability to communicate and work effectively inter-culturally with diverse groups of students, employees and the community.
