Sales Development Representative

**Who Are We**
We are currently seeking a Sales Development Rep to join our growing team in Victoria, focusing on our most recent project division. The company is B2G (business to government), providing professional services (ranging from cybersecurity, recruitment, education, and tech hardware) to governments in Canada. Our goal is to advance Canada in a better direction; the right direction. We've successfully completed a wide range of projects over the years for municipalities, provincial governments, and federal departments including the Department of National Defence (DND), Shared Services Canada (SSC), Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Province of BC, Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority, BC Transit, City of Toronto, City of Victoria, and many more.
We have 65 full-time remote workers led by a small youthfully-energetic team in Victoria, BC. You will be working alongside the team in-office in Victoria, BC. We intend to grow the business fast over the next few years. You will have the opportunity to position yourself in a leadership role in the future.
**Who Are You**
Your role is critical in driving the growth of our business by acquiring new contracts and building strong relationships with potential clients. You are detail-oriented, ambitious, hardworking, and entrepreneurial.
You understand how to optimize sales strategies and marketing efforts to reach the right audience and close deals efficiently.
You are skilled at making impactful connections, managing outreach campaigns, and navigating the nuances of online communication to expand our client base. The contracts and relationships you will be developing require a proactive and persistent approach, with a focus on achieving tangible results.
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales and Marketing Coordinator to join our energetic and ambitious team of 8 in Victoria. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving our business growth by acquiring new contracts, building strong client relationships, and engaging with prospects through various communication channels. Working in our dynamic startup environment, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and grow with us. As we expand, you will play a key role in shaping our sales strategies, helping to scale our operations and increase our market presence.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
- **Client Engagement**: Build and nurture relationships with clients and prospects, understanding their needs and positioning our services as the ideal solution. Conduct regular meetings with clients via Microsoft Teams video to ensure satisfaction and explore further opportunities.
- **Lead Generation**: Research and identify potential leads through various channels, including online databases and LinkedIn. Develop strategies to convert leads into long-term clients.
- **Sales Support**: Assist the Account Manager by preparing proposals, presentations, and sales collateral. Track and report on sales activities, ensuring all leads and opportunities are followed up in a timely manner, reporting to the Account Manager and CEO.
- **Market Research**: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Provide insights that inform our sales strategies, helping us stay ahead of industry trends.
- **Content Creation**: Assist in creating LinkedIn content that resonates with our target audience, including posts and articles. Ensure all content aligns with our brand and effectively communicates our value proposition.
- **Project Management**: Oversee the planning and execution of sales projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with internal teams to align efforts and achieve our goals.
- **Data Analysis**: Analyze the performance of sales activities, providing insights and recommendations to optimize our strategies. Use data to drive decision-making and improve our overall approach to client acquisition and retention.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software, with a solid understanding of LinkedIn for networking and lead generation.
- Strong sales process knowledge and the ability to develop strategies that drive growth and acquisition.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, offering creative solutions and managing multiple sales projects effectively.
- Eager to call government clients because you are curious to discover what challenges burden them.
