As part of our strategic expansion, we are seeking a skilled Strategic & Operation Planning Analyst who can integrate comprehensive operational strategies with our business goals, including oversight of our subsidiary in China.

Job Summary:
The Strategic & Operation Planning Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing our operational efficiencies and strategic initiatives across global operations, including direct oversight of our activities in China. This position requires a professional who is fluent in both Mandarin and English, capable of facilitating effective communication and operational alignment between our Canadian headquarters and Chinese subsidiary.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and refine the annual operational plan, ensuring it aligns with strategic objectives and adapts to changing market conditions, with particular focus on integrating operations between Canada and China.
- Conduct detailed data analysis to inform strategic decisions, including resource allocation, process improvements, and capacity planning.
- Serve as the primary liaison for operational communications with the subsidiary in China, ensuring strategies are aligned and executed efficiently.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of operational strategies, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Prepare and present analytical reports to senior management, highlighting findings and providing actionable insights with an emphasis on cross-border operations.
- Participate in the budgeting process, providing analytical support to ensure financial targets are aligned with operational capabilities, especially for projects involving the Chinese market.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive dynamics in both the Western and Chinese markets to proactively adjust strategic plans.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, business analysis, or a similar role with an emphasis on operations.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to interpret and synthesize complex data into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information in an understandable manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departmental boundaries.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is required, with experience managing or coordinating operations across different cultures.
- Creative thinker with a strong strategic acumen and the ability to propose innovative solutions to operational challenges.
