Animal Care Assistant

Smiths Falls, Canada Lanark Animal Welfare Society Full time

LAWS is hiring a weekend Animal Care Assistant. Must be able to work most Saturdays and Sundays. Additional Monday to Friday hours will also be available. Duties will include cleaning cat rooms, laundry, feeding, socializing and general care of cats. We require someone with animal care experience in a shelter environment or a VA or VT training. You must love working with animals.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: From $17.50 per hour

**Benefits**:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Smiths Falls, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
