Veterinary Assistant

**Duties**:

- Assist veterinarians in providing care to animals
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical areas
- Clean and sanitize equipment and supplies
- Perform laboratory tests and collect samples for analysis
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition
- Maintain accurate records of patient information

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with animals preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Please note that this position does not involve dog training or pet grooming. It is primarily focused on assisting veterinarians in providing care to animals.

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
