**The Position**:
**As the Pilot Technician Intern you will be joining a creative fast paced, international environment as part of the Technology Pilot Team. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the field of process and validation testing, mechanical design, and product development. You will gain exposure supporting the Pilot, Design, and Process Development teams and assist the greater organization in achieving its annual goals and objectives as an active participant.**

**Nature of work**:
**In this role, your primary responsibilities will include**:

- **Support facility and equipment maintenance. Assist with equipment builds and modifications. Perform housekeeping and Health & Safety activities.**
- **Conduct analytical tests in the R&D Lab.**
- **Conduct pilot tests on prototype modules running in a membrane bioreactor in accordance with test plans. Activities include monitoring, documenting operations & findings, chemical dosing, module inspections, and regular communications with Test Leaders.**

**Secondary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)**:

- **Assist with other R&D activities as needed.**

**While the position is based in Oakville, it may require frequent travel to the Guelph testing site, depending on testing needs.**

**Do you qualify? We are seeking**

**Skills**:

- **Strong hands-on mechanical skills. Experience with piping, valves and pumps is an asset.**
- **Water treatment or water chemistry experience is an asset**
- **G2 or G class driver’s licence and personal vehicle for travel to Guelph**

**Education**:

- **Bachelor’s degree or Technologist Diploma in course of completion in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental) or equivalent related discipline**

**Desired Characteristics**:

- **Ability to be flexible in managing multiple tasks with changing priorities
