Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Civil3D Modeler **Intern **to join our team In this role you will get to support the BIM Manager and our Project D elivery T eam s to develop the models for Tracks, Roads and utilities in addition to the extraction of the sheets from the models. T he Civil3D Modeler is required to possess strong computer CAD/BIM and technical skills to produce 3D/2D dimensional models required for model and drawing production, quality checking and control, coordination, and constructability analysis.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Support the BIM Manager and Project Delivery Team(s) in day to day BIM implementation activitie s.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the BIM Manager design-changes and model challenges.
- Develop Civil3D Templates, subassemblies, pipe parts and smart blocks
- Develop alignments, profiles, corridors and to be familiar with creating and consuming Datashortuct
- Develop production template/title blocks
- Perform cut & fill analysis and extract quantities from the models
- Support the setup, development, c o nfiguration, establishment of the Common Data Environment (CDE) for Project use.
- Perform as gate keeper for CDE ( ProjectWsie and ACC ) for their disciplines.
- Develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Control templates following the organization's and Project’s quality procedures and the P roject's BIM production methods and standards.
- Measure and ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submissions in accordance with P roject standards and requirements.
- Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks on models and maintain tracker (both hard and soft copies) to confirm geometrical and non-geometrical information compliance with the P roject's design and BIM requirements.
- Review, monitor and report on the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models.
- Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.
- Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the BIM Manager design-changes and model challenges.
- Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.
- Validate and export model geometry and data to schedules for internal design and commercial activities.
- Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks and report deviations of installation with approved coordinated models.
- Monitor, perform quality checks and report on the quality of as-built models.
- Monitor and support the data collection process and validate Asset Information Model (AIM) with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) requirements e.g. Construction Operation Building Information Exchange ( COBie ) and/or Client Specific requirements.

Monitor and validate the as-built model tagging with all related P roject documents e.g. the H&S file(s) and O&M Manual(s) etc.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Enrollment in civil design / technology program from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of BIM
- Experience either from a Consultant or Contractor Environment on Rail & Transit projects.
- Experience with ISO 19650.
- Strong understanding of BIM a uthoring, s cripting, d esign r eview, c oordination, s imulations, and c ollaboration a pplications and/or p latforms e.g. Revit, Civil 3D, Open Buildings Designer, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Navisworks, Cost X, Synchro, BIM 360, ProjectWise etc. (Insert Specific Requirements)
- Canadian e xperience p referred but not e ssential
