Maintenance Planner/scheduler

We have one **(1) Maintenance Planners positions to fill **for a mining client in Kamloops, BC. The contract is for **4mos with high possibility of extension.** The Maintenance Planner, is responsible for providing detailed work plans in line with maintenance strategies and site requirements that improve the efficiency and performance of the Maintenance Department.
The project will be in Kamloops, BC. Wage is very competitive plus all the additional coverage (vehicle, housing, travel, etc.)
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You must be self-motivated and collaborate well with a team. The
ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands and remain flexible and organized in a fast-paced environment is vital.
**Responsibilities**:
- Adhere to safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Manage work backlogs for accuracy, while considering requirements related to parts, labour, permits, drawings,
- facilities, support equipment, special equipment, tooling, and instructions
- Maintain an accurate forecast that adheres to established maintenance strategies, while supporting best-in-class asset
management strategies
- Assist with monthly cost forecasting, annual budgeting, and cost analysis
- Work regularly with maintainers to build or improve detailed work packages
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators, bringing forward continuous improvement opportunities
- Commission and decommission equipment, and manage their maintenance programs
**Requirements**:
- Professional engineer or civil engineer
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience with Maximo software or SAP is an asset
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
**Location & Other Key Details**:
- You will work out of a mine site near Kamloops, BC
- Position is full-time, temporary for 4 months, with high possibility of extension.
- Hours of work may vary, Monday to Friday
