Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Kamloops, BC. As a critical member of our operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of heavy duty equipment.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work with a leading environmental services company that values its employees and provides them with opportunities for growth and development.
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered trucks and equipment, including rebuilding, repairing, and performing maintenance tasks.
You will also be responsible for completing daily reports, work orders, and ordering necessary parts, as well as planning and scheduling repairs using M5 planner.
In addition, you will assist in reviewing mechanical write-ups and coordinating repair schedules.
Requirements- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and technical diploma desired
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic certification or 4th year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Familiarity with power tools, hand instruments, and cutting-edge equipment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and maintain accurate records
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and perks such as extended health, dental, and vision coverage, RRSP and DPSP options, paid holidays, and shift differentials.
