A Designated Learning Institution (DLI), Ace Acumen Academy offers out International Students a recognized Ontario Public College credential.

The College is seeking a professional who will assist with monitoring the operations of the Company involving the overall health, administration and implementation of infrastructure related items including: movement, inventory, storage of company equipment, construction, security, fire inspections, cleanliness and maintenance and Health and Safety.

This position is expected to work on-site at the College’s campuses; it is NOT a remote job.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Monitor offices and classrooms of Acumen Campus(es) to ensure they are managed safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations, including WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Ensure all campuses are in compliance with fire code regulations and facilitate fire inspections
- Carry out regular maintenance of equipment and internal systems to ensure there are no interruptions in service and/or connection
- Carry out work order processes, support scheduling of site service contractors, and arrange for services as instructed by Facilities Coordinator.
- Support campus opening, closing operations and safety monitoring on site
- Patrol and observe all campus areas to identify potential risks or issues and report them to the team to discuss the best available solutions
- Check rooms and furniture to ensure they are well maintained and identify needs for repairs and renovations
- Fix minor malfunctions in office equipment
- Ensure all classroom and office environments (i.e., temperature) are optimal for student, faculty and staff use.
- Order and maintain sufficient levels of inventory on hand for faculty, students and employees and restock common areas.
- Carry out and/or monitor site cleaning and regular/preventative maintenance inside and outside of campus buildings to ensure performance in accordance with contract.
- Support agency infections control and prevention activities - oversee the cleaning and disinfecting of buildings
- Participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee and ensure buildings are in compliance with Health & Safety regulations and Ontario workplace protocols
- Work rotating evening and weekend shifts to monitor college functions

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum 2 years’ related work experience, within an educational institution preferred
- Required experience in a handyman's position or facilities maintenance position
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods
- Class G Driver’s License is required
