**Why This Role is Important**
We are looking for a Manager for PC Financial’s Regulatory Compliance team. This is a key risk management role (second line of defense), to serve as the lead in managing our Regulatory Compliance Management System (RCMS). The role combines knowledge of risk management within the financial services industry with a deep understanding of eGRC solutions to support the bank in efficiently managing compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
**What You’ll Do**:
eGRC Management (Resolver)
- Accountable for the overall implementation and oversight of PC Financial’s Regulatory Compliance Management System (RCMS) through day-to-day management of the eGRC system (Resolver).
- Subject matter expert on PC Financial’s eGRC system (Resolver) including ability to develop/customize the Bank’s instance of the tool, advise users on functionality (testing, issue management, certifications, etc.) and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare and execute annual strategy for expanded integration of eGRC tool (Resolver) into other Regulatory Compliance team activities, such as planning, reporting, etc.
- Ensure PC Financial’s RCMS inventory of all applicable governing legislation and business controls is up to date in the eGRC tool (Resolver), including coordinating reviews of updates in a timely manner.
- Leverage eGRC tool (Resolver) to manage activities within the risk assessment, monitoring and testing programs (such as data quality monitoring, uploading test plans, troubleshooting, etc.) to ensure adequate monitoring of material exposures to regulatory risk.
Regulatory Compliance Management Program
- Coordinate the day-to-day Business Compliance Officer (BCO) oversight program designed to ensure awareness of governing legislation and appropriate tracking of issues of non-compliance with governing legislation.
- Complete and/or review compliance testing of areas of regulatory focus and RCMS controls.
- Prepare and review executive-level reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis to provide updates and insights on PC Financial’s Regulatory Compliance management program and overall state of compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Build relationships within the Regulatory Compliance team to facilitate progress and overall monitoring of team activities, including appropriately identifying areas requiring escalation to maintain program health.
- Review business controls to ensure sufficient to meet regulatory requirements and identifying control improvement opportunities.
General
- Train and advise employees, including business unit partners, on compliance related matters.
- Actively foster colleague development through mentoring and ongoing coaching.
- Remain current on compliance related issues, developments, trends and risks to PC Financial.
- Other activities as required, such as supporting with regulatory submissions (e.g., complaints), ad-hoc assignments, etc.
**What You Bring**:
- Post-secondary education in business, commerce, economics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Compliance/Risk at a Canadian financial institution for at least 5 years.
- Knowledge of and experience with Risk Management Solutions, with a preference for experience working with Resolver’s GRC solution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- A professional, friendly attitude with strong communication skills and an ability to establish relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and think analytically/critically in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
- A track record of delivering results through effective planning and organization.
- Ability to provide coaching and mentorship.
- Strong personal responsibility, honesty and integrity.
