**Position Description**:
**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Project Coordination
- Develop, monitor and iterate project work plans.
- Develop REB documents required for a new study including study protocol and informed consent forms based on regulations, templates and institutional requirements. Submit to REB and coordinate revisions.
- Identify and recruit potential participants.
- Screen patients for study eligibility
- Obtain informed consent.
- Collect, enter and verify research data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering students, trainees and CRPC to analyze data and generate research outputs.
- Prepare presentations, progress reports and manuscripts.
- Prepare financial information and monitor study budgets.
- Grant Coordination
- Proactively identify potential funding opportunities.
- Maintain a calendar of deadlines for new grant opportunities.
- Prepare annual progress reports for funders.
- Lab Coordination:

- Coordinate lab meetings, document decisions and collate action items for follow up.
- Maintain research equipment.
- Keep abreast of regulations and policies governing clinical research.
- Develop and maintain operating procedures to ensure adherence to study protocols, institutional requirements and regulatory obligations.
- Conduct literature reviews and maintain literature databases.
- Encourage and foster collaborative relationships with healthcare team at SickKids, other participating centres and government and community agencies.
- Attend relevant departmental meetings or rounds to increase knowledge and understanding.
- Prepare/submit purchase requisitions, invoices, etc.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Master of Science degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of clinical research experience.
- Experience with computer science or biomedical engineering is an asset.
- Superior communication, organization and time management skills.
- Meticulous attention-to-detail.
- Ability to work independently with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Exceptional problem solving and decision making.
- Demonstrated interest in and/or research experience in pediatric ophthalmology would be considered an asset.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
