Medical Secretary/receptionist

Key Responsibilities: _
- Appointment Management: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of the specialist's time while accommodating patient needs.
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Medical Records Management: Maintain and organize patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communication: Establish and maintain good contact with the hospital to effectively book operating rooms (ORs) and ambulatory care clinics. Serve as a liaison between patients and the ENT specialist, conveying messages, scheduling follow-up visits, and addressing patient concerns promptly.
- Documentation: Prepare and manage patient documentation, including medical histories, referrals, and follow-up instructions.
- Billing Support: Assist with processing payments.
- Qualifications:_
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration and asset.
- Previous experience as a medical secretary, preferably in an ENT or related healthcare setting.
- Proficient in medical terminology, office software, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
