Join our Insurance and Surety team to take on stimulating challenges and live this unique experience Reporting to the Senior Director - Insurance and Surety, the incumbent in this position will play a key role by working closely with the Senior Director on the analysis and execution strategy at the bidding and awarded contract stages. The advisor will actively contribute to mitigating risks that could impact the sustainability of Pomerleau.

**What You Will Do**

This role is mainly specifically dedicated to the projects outside Quebec and will therefore suit an employee who wants to delve deep, has attention to detail, and is passionate about analysis, writing, and persuasion.
- Oversee our project insurance operations outside Quebec and make sure that we are competitive, that we meet the requirements, that the process is streamline and that Pomerleau is protected according to our strategy;
- Analyze bid documents and contracts to determine if the insurance requirements requested by clients are adequate and challenge them (verbally and in writing) if they are not;
- Assure quality in the products received by our brokers/insurers and intervene in the bid and placement processes, when required, to find solutions/resolutions;
- Recommend and implement new processes and act as a coach and expert manner, in a collaborative environment, for the Insurance and Surety team;
- Act as an expert manner and advisor for the project teams;
- Develop partnerships with clients, our brokers, legal team, and project teams;
- Provide professional advice and ongoing training;
- Contribute to the insurance renewal strategy and process and enhance it;
- Analyze, understand and identify the risk and opportunities in the corporate insurance policies (liability, E&O, marine, drones, automotive, equipment, etc.) to ensure they complement the project policies;
- Advise and recommend strategy to senior management on risk management strategies and insurance-related issues;
- Coordinate and influence internal stakeholders, including project managers, legal, financial, and operational teams, and brokers, to assess risk exposures and develop strategies;
- Enjoy working in a team with dynamic people

**This role could be for you if you have**
- Bachelor's degree in law or business administration, or equivalent experience;
- 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar position ideally in an insurance and or construction company ;
- Knowledge in the construction, insurance, and/or legal field (an asset);
- Dynamic and motivated;
- French and English, both orally and in writing; (an asset)
- Agile and autonomous;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Rigorous and detail-oriented;
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office software;
- Ready to take on interesting challenges
