**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Foster Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to children in foster care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional development. You will work closely with families, social workers, and community resources to facilitate a nurturing environment for children who have experienced trauma or instability.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct assessments of children's needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide ongoing support to foster families, including training and resources.
- Monitor the progress of children in care and maintain regular communication with all stakeholders.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children in foster care during meetings with case managers and foster families.
- Facilitate family visits and maintain a positive relationship between children and their biological families when appropriate.
- Document case notes, progress reports, and any incidents as required by agency policies.
- Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and other community organizations to ensure comprehensive support for children.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skill.
- Coordinate cultural resources and events for foster families and children.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of child development principles and trauma-informed care practices is a plus.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to advocating for children's best interests.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and respond effectively to crises.
- Knowledge of cultural practices of the children in care.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
