Operations Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:_
**National Operational Management**:
- Oversee daily operations at all distribution centers across Canada, ensuring efficiency and consistency in processes.
- Develop, implement, and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) tailored for regional and national operations.
- Coordinate cross-province distribution and logistics to ensure timely delivery and inventory alignment.
- Address regional challenges such as weather-related disruptions or cross-border logistics with innovative solutions.
**Team Leadership Across Locations**:
- Supervise and collaborate with regional operations managers and warehouse staff to achieve operational goals.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to teams across all Canadian locations.
- Develop strategies to foster team cohesion and consistency across provinces.
- Conduct performance evaluations and establish training programs for regional teams.
**Inventory and Supply Chain Management**:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all Canadian distribution centers.
- Implement strategies for inventory standardization and optimization nationwide.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely stock replenishment and address regional demands.
**National Logistics and Transportation**:
- Manage relationships with logistics providers, ensuring cost-effective and timely movement of goods across provinces.
- Oversee cross-provincial and international shipping, ensuring compliance with regulations and customs requirements.
- Negotiate freight contracts and optimize logistics costs for a national network.
**Regulatory Compliance and Safety**:
- Ensure all facilities comply with federal and provincial health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Standardize safety protocols across Canada and conduct audits to ensure compliance.
- Lead emergency response planning for natural disasters or other disruptions that could affect operations.
**Cost Management and Reporting**:
- Develop and monitor budgets for national operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze operational performance metrics across Canada and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives tailored to specific regions.
- **Qualifications**:_
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations or logistics management, with experience managing multi-location operations.
- Strong understanding of Canadian geography and logistics infrastructure.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Knowledge of cross-border shipping processes and trade compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with provincial and federal regulations (e.g., Transport Canada, OSHA-equivalent standards).
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
