We are looking for a Resource Management Specialist. This person will be accountable for long term workforce planning and scheduling as well as supporting the AVP, Resource Management with the provision of resources to projects and programs. The role promotes and enables resource fluidity across the Enterprise to achieve the greatest organizational value. Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Helping to define and implement a cost-effective Enterprise resource model.- Planning for capacity and competency, identifying skills gaps through workforce planning- Securing resources, working with People function, IT Vendor Management, Procurement, key vendors, including Business partners and external agencies, to meet identified demand.- Leading resource pools

What you’ll do:
- Proactively engage key partners to analyze the demand for resources.- Identify key skills requirements and plan to meet project capability needs.- Help define and implement a cost-effective resource model.- Identify and optimize the resource mix to ensure skills and capabilities are built across the Enterprise and new strategic skills are introduced.- Define, along with others across the Enterprise, the creation of talent pipeline plans covering graduates, interns, and apprentices.- Support development, with others across the Enterprise, of a location strategy aligned to our resource strategy.- Lead resource pools to ensure appropriate staffing levels.- Supervise the resource management portfolio using metrics.- Lead key vendor relationships and supply to ensure Aviva is taking advantage of creative opportunities to deliver capability at optimal cost.- Help with strategic workforce MI and plans for the function.

What you will bring:
- Related university degree, college diploma or equivalent experience- A resource planning background (including both forecasting and scheduling experience)- Strong analytical capability and background- Outstanding Excel skills using different statistical models including pivots.- Good relationship leadership skills at all levels- Strong influencing skills in a matrix environment- Excellent communication skills with ability to determine the most effective way to communicate message taking audience into consideration.- Pro-active, results
- focused and community oriented- Strong ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations and organizational skills.- Must be an independent worker, proactive and solution oriented, looking for ways to drive continuous improvement.- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
