**Position Description**:
Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding research assistant position where you can utilize your organizational, communication, and time management skills? If you are looking for an opportunity to participate in research projects, recruit participants, and build and maintain databases, then this is an opportunity for you We are seeking a research assistant to join Dr. Vann Chau’s and Dr. Puneet Jain’s research team. This is a full time position (1.0 FTE) starting Monday January 16, 2023.

**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**:
The research assistant will be responsible for organizing research projects on children with epilepsies.
- Providing assistance to the Principal Investigators and their trainees on two main projects and smaller related projects.
- Preparation of REB submissions.
- Database development, management and maintaining records of research data.
- Data collection.
- Screening for study eligibility and enrollment of participants.
- Preparation of data for multivariate statistical analyses.
- Conducting literature searches, maintaining literature databases.
- Helping with manuscript writing: figures, tables, references, proofreading, manuscript submission, etc.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**
- Completion of a post secondary program; experience in clinical research would be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities and deadlines with a strong focus in accuracy of work
- Proficiency with REDCap
- Experience with patient enrollment into clinical study
- Experience with Ethics Board (e.g., protocol submission and amendments)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail, with superior organizational and time management skills
- Highly developed analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills and a high level of judgment, tact and diplomacy in your interactions with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Well-developed time management skills and unfailing work ethics
- Ability to problem solve effectively and work in a proactive manner
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
