**Family SOS Greystone Centre Manager Job Description**
Reports to: Executive Director
**General Overview**
Using a Health Promotion model, the Greystone Manager will be responsible for ensuring high quality programs and services are offered through the Greystone Centre. They are responsible for daily operations of the Centre as well as being a reliable voice of advocacy of issues that are important to the community members. The role will also support elements of the administration of the organization as a whole.
**Role**:
Daily Operations:
- Point of contact for Greystone Centre
- Manage Centre programs, including Food Security Programs (Community Garden, Lunchbox Program, Community Market), Child and Youth Programming (Healthy Kidz, Healthy Teenz, March Break Camp, Summer Camp), and additional programming as directed.
- Monitor the program’s budget and maximize cost-effectiveness
- Approve the purchase of necessary supplies and equipment
- Manage the program’s staff, providing information and guidance while keeping them motivated and solving any problems that may arise. Provide staff orientation and training, provide performance evaluations and feedback for staff.
- Schedule staff shifts in accordance with the program’s needs
- Strategize and implement policies and practices
- Approval of staff time sheets, tracking of vacation, sick days, and personal days.
- Hold and document regular team meetings
- Provide accurate financial and site reporting
- Collaborate with and report to the Executive Director
Programing:
- Onboard, train and supervise Greystone staff
- Oversight and management of programs being offered at the Greystone Centre
- Provide staff training relevant to program offerings
- Oversee program registration and ensure current programming meets regulatory requirements
- Implement a model of program evaluation to ensure programs are relevant to the service users
Advocacy:
- Connect with the community (schools, library, nonprofits, housing, community officers, stakeholders, politicians, etc.)
- Attend roundtable meetings when applicable
Volunteer Management:
- Oversee volunteer training and recruitment for the Greystone Centre
- Sourcing, recruiting, scheduling, and managing volunteers
- Keep detailed records of volunteers’ information, attendance, and assignments
- Provide volunteer recognition opportunities
**Requirements**:
- Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Experience budgeting and forecasting
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
- Current Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Search
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Driver's License an asset

**Salary**: $45,760.00-$49,920.00 per year
