**Job Description**:
Do you want to work for one of Canada’s top employers? Do you have a love for all things Employee Relations including HR policy, influencing and providing advice to clients? The Employee Relations Coordinator is a key player on the H&M Canada Human Resources team.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the Employee Relations Coordinator will be responsible for providing first level support and advisory to our Field and Store Management teams. They will support these teams by answering questions regarding HR policies, performance management, terminations, workers compensation and disability leaves.
**The Employee Relations Coordinator will**:
- Provide first level support to Store Management teams with questions regarding HR policies, performance management, terminations, workers compensation and disability leaves
- Work with the Employee Relations Specialist to ensure Company-wide adherence to HR Policy, provincial laws, and employment related requirements
- Escalate more complex or employment law related ER cases to the Employee Relations Specialist
- Maintains overview and data set of all ER cases across the Company’s retail locations and offices
- Work very closely with in-store teams to assess and maintain employee engagement
**Qualifications**:
**What you'll need to succeed**:
- Successful completion of Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations. Consideration will be given to those possessing diploma/degree in Business Administration or Organizational Studies
- Working towards the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP/CHRL) designation would be an asset
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an HR or related role dealing with employee relations
- In addition to Employee Relations, experience in Benefits & Payroll, or Training & Development would be considered an asset
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**:
- Knowledge of Canadian employment and provincial law
- Experience in HR best practices, policies and guidelines
- Ability to influence and provide clear recommendations to management teams
- Ability to multitask and determine key priorities
- Highly engaged and positive in challenging situations maintaining professional maturity at all times
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes according to changing business needs
- Skilled at solving conflicts in a direct but positive way
- Proven organizational, data and analytical skills
- Strong symbolic brand ambassador
- Effective oral and written communication skills: Bilingual (ENG/FRE) considered an asset
