The **Associate, Business Development’s (BD) **primary role as part of the team is to help capture new business across our multi-channel distribution platform, including HNW, private wealth, family office, foundation, endowment, pension and the consultant channels. This role is based in Toronto.

**Main responsibilities:
- Qualify inbound leads and manage the initial stages of the sales pipeline;
- Conduct research to identify potential prospects and decision-makers within targeted accounts;
- Work with Investment Services/Business Development team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives;
- Set up meetings and appointments for the Senior Business Development team with qualified leads;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities in our CRM system;
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement lead-generation strategies;
- Provide feedback to help improve our products, services, and processes;
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices;Participation in the bi-weekly Business Development meeting.

**Required profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline;Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in business development in insurance, banking or financial industry.

- Proactive, self-starter and highly motivated, you are excited to be part of a well-established and respected investment manager;
- Disciplined individual with a high energy level and a progressive business attitude;
- Goal-oriented with a passion for sales;
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
- Outstanding relationship builder, you build trust through respect and authenticity;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Proficient in CRM software and other prospecting tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo and other software;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
