Manager, General Operations STOC is responsible for managing station operations, managing real-time delivery of customer service in an effective manner assuring safety, corporate policies and objectives are adhered to. Oversee operations and safety compliance of Jazz stations and ground handlers and other vendors.

**Key functions/responsibilities**
- To action and maintain multi-level and multi-directional communications with key internal and external interfaces and ensure total product delivery
- Proactively maintain an awareness of developing operating constraints to ensure the best station plan or solution is delivered.
- Identify issues/weaknesses in the current schedule to the appropriate planning functions.
- To monitor the daily operations of the station and provide guidance and direction to all internal and external resources for the best results.
- Determines Airport Operations - (station's) strategies, detailed safety and business plans, policies, organizational structure, goals, responsibilities and metrics.
- To complete all individually assigned duties and responsibilities as prescribed in the Station Safety Plan
- Anticipates, identifies and resolves service and operational problems, with a results oriented approach to Safety, Security and Performance.
- Identification of root cause and implementation of corrective measure.
- Approves the Airport Operations - (station) material, human & financial resources allocation and policies
- Authority (ability or obligation to carry out responsibilities)
- Implement & Communicate Airport Operations - (station) strategies, detailed safety and business plans, policies, organizational structure, goals, responsibilities and metrics
- Allocate Airport Operations - (station) material, human & financial resources and policies for Air Canada.

**Safety First**:

- Ensure Safety, Security and Service standards are observed, monitored and practiced consistently, including Emergency Response and Environmental Plans.
- Compliance with standards of IOSA, SMS and other applicable authorities. Assure the good management of the airport operation.
- Ensure that risks related to Safety are addressed, root cause identified, and corrective measures implemented
- Assume the leadership of the operations of the respective region, SMS and other applicable authorities including a strong partnership with airport safety.
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety, Safety, Security and Service standards are observed, monitored and practiced consistently including Emergency Response and Environmental Plans.
- Compliance with standards of IOSA, SMS and other applicable authorities. Assure the good management of the airport operation.
- Ensure day-to-day safety in operations. Ensure that on-going self-audits are conducted. Where either self-audit or regulatory audit activities have revealed vulnerabilities, ensure identification of root cause and implementation of corrective measures.
- Allocate airport operations material, human & financial resources and policies for Air Canada to ensure safety and security of operations.

- Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills with an aptitude for precision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, and without supervision.
- Sound knowledge of Airport Ramp & Sales operation
- Demonstrated planning & organizational skills
- Sound decision making skills
- Ability to establish work priorities and perform under deadline pressures
- Ability to work long and irregular hours
