Reporting to the Director, Medical Affairs, the Human Resources Associate administers and supports various human resources processes for clinical, academic physicians and privately hired medical secretaries within the department of Paediatrics. This individual is accountable to independently facilitate the processes in a proactive manner reporting to the Manager, Medical Affairs and supporting the Chief of the department. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Manager of Administration and Finance within the department of Paediatrics and all other administrative support members of the clinical department.

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of 2 year diploma in Business, Office Administration or Human Resources, or as acceptable by the Hospital
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred
- Two (2) years of recent relevant experience
- Previous experience working in an integrated department preferred
- Proficiency in computer and keyboarding skills, i.e., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrated proficient communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Demonstrated experience entering data, generating reports, and database maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Effective organizational skills involving time management, prioritization and the ability to problem solve while ensuring attention to detail
- Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to work well and independently with minimum supervision in a team environment
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

**Immunization Requirements**:
