Position Overview
JLL is quickly growing its Canadian Property and Asset Management (PAM Canada) team to deliver world-class Sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) services to sophisticated owners and occupiers. We are currently seeking a dynamic bilingual (French/English) individual to join our embedded Sustainability team, preferably in either the Greater Toronto Area or Montreal. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sustainability, the successful person will help identify, develop, and execute the ESG strategies that will meet client needs and deliver on JLL’s global sustainability commitments of achieving net zero carbon emissions in operational carbon by 2040. From climate resilience to circular economy and health & well-being, you will work with industry-leading professionals and inspired clients to deliver meaningful work that can lead to measurable change.

**Responsibilities**:
Play a key role in the continuous improvement of JLL’s sustainability culture, training programs, and tools specific to Property and Asset Management Canada
Contribute to the development of PAM Canada’s sustainability programs and initiatives such as waste, climate risk, green leasing, green teams, biodiversity, and well-being
Develop processes and tools that enhance sustainability service delivery and reliable and accurate data management
Bring new ideas and solutions to property teams and ownership groups, ensuring they are rolled out effectively
Conduct in-depth research, analysis and lead collaborative discussions with internal and external stakeholders to support sustainability strategy development and implementation
Perform market analysis, lead evaluation, and project manage external ESG-related certifications or programs, such as BOMA BEST, CaGBC Zero Carbon Certification, LEED, Fitwel, Well, Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification
Create presentations and progress reports communicating sustainability achievements and performance updates to clients and Property Management Leadership team.
Review existing studies, perform high-level site assessments, identify areas of improvement, and develop action plans to achieve results based on strong business cases
Assist in preparing and maintaining annual operational and capital expenditure budget guidelines for sustainability initiatives across PAM Canada’s portfolio, and maintain an updated project pipeline
Manage, maintain, communicate, and deliver training on sustainability-related program (policies, procedures, etc.)
Monitor, analyze and report on performance versus targets and benchmarks for metrics pertaining to waste, health and well-being, biodiversity, etc.
Support sites to implement sustainability-related value-creation projects
Identify and communicate best practices, successes and lessons learned across PAM Canada operations
Participate in onboarding of new properties/team members and implement JLL sustainability requirements during transition activities
Support JLL-wide sustainability activities, as required

Qualifications & Strengths
7+ years of related experience in sustainability strategy, implementation, project management, data/analytics, and communications
Master’s degree (or equivalent in experience) in sustainability is a major asset
Bilingualism in French is considered a major asset
Broad-based knowledge of sustainability leadership in commercial real estate and building sciences is an asset
Subject matter expertise in waste and health and well-being is an asset
Ability to turn big-picture ideas into practical and realistic actions and project plans
Ability to engage effectively and cooperatively with peers, colleagues, and
