**Position Summary**

As the Manager of Sales & Community Relations you will report directly to the Executive Director and are responsible for the leasing of the rental suites to maintain optimal occupancy levels in the Home while ensuring compliance with all levels of legislation.

**Typical Day to Day Operations**:

- Meet and/or exceed Waterford’s occupancy targets
- Conducting private tours and virtual tours, providing information to prospects and community organizations, and following up on leads in a timely manner
- Complete Lease Agreement and review with prospective residents and/or the Responsible Party
- Review and finalize all necessary documentation related to Residency Agreements, CHIP, and tenant insurance
- Communicate with DOC to assess if The Waterford can meet the physical and/or cognitive care needs of prospective residents
- Coordinate move-ins, communicate with moving companies
- Update reception on phone numbers and contact information of (new) residents
- Orienting new residents to ensure a smooth transition to their new home
- Supporting families of (new) residents during the transition
- Coordinate internal transfers for existing residents

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work in concert with the Marketing & Community Relations Manager of Waterford Ottawa
- Lead generation
- market deployment
- brand awareness, CRM
- Grow sales process (response time, understanding and growing our current leads and intelligence, tour process, selling tactics, cross-selling, on-site sales support, market penetration)
- Marketing opportunities (social media presence, brand and activity awareness, incentives, promotions, what sets Waterford apart)
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and distributing all brochures and marketing materials
- Establishes and maintains on-going contacts with business groups, community organizations, social workers, discharge planners, doctors' offices, and other useful referral personnel/agencies
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and distributing all brochures and marketing materials
- Attends network and other pertinent meetings, and participates in expos as deemed useful
- Interviews, and tours prospective residents and their families; discusses evaluations with the Wellness Department

**Marketing & Occupancy**:

- Leasing of the rental units in the retirement home
- Meeting prospective tenants off premises if required
- Develops, promotes, and implements marketing plans to increase rentals & ensure optimal occupancy is achieved
- Develops marketing strategy and prepares advertising campaigns
- Conducts tours; provides information to the public and community organizations; and follows up on leads in a timely manner
- Prepares lease agreements for execution by Resident/Tenant
- Develops and fosters partnerships within the community
- Encouraging outside community groups that share similar interests with Waterford to use Waterford facilities such as theatre and craft kitchen for their events

**Resident Relations**:

- Greets & orients new residents to ensure a smooth transition to the Waterford
- Ensure a smooth resident move-in process by engaging and working collaboratively with all Departments
- Responds to resident issues, family inquiries and concerns relating to move-ins
