- This position works within both the Indigenous Peoples’ Health Research Centre (IPHRC) and Saskatchewan Centre for Patient Oriented Research (SCPOR). IPHRC is a provincial research centre committed to Indigenous-lead research that improves the health outcomes for Indigenous communities. The mandate of SCPOR is to advance initiatives that build research success, knowledge translation, and a culture of evidence-informed practice. SCPOR is part of a federal, provincial, and territorial partnership to support the Strategy for Patient Oriented Research (SPOR) created to build on capacity and collaborations to conduct responsive, equitable, innovative patient-oriented research that continuously improves the care and health of Saskatchewan people.

**Duties and Qualifications**:

- Indigenous Research Engagement Platform Specialist (IREPS) is a resource to individuals and teams involved with SCPOR. The IREPS will attend meetings with SCPOR's partner organizations, in First Nations and Metis communities across the province, and occasionally nationally and internationally;
- The IREPS position carries out responsibilities within highly nuanced interpersonal situations
- and requires comfort and dexterity in managing competing demands;
- Accountability to encompass all steps of the research process specific to Indigenous health
- research, including relational accountability, ethics, integrated and end-of-grant knowledge
- translation, and Indigenous research methodologies.
- Research and research project development supporting scientists to develop high quality;
- research protocols as well as ensuring corporate procedures are in place;
- Develop strategies, programs and support systems to improve the quality of funding proposals to ensure that they include First Nations and Metis people, communities and health organizations;
- Build collaborative relationships and partnerships with principal investigators and participate in Indigenous health research communications and awareness building activities;
- Liaise with agencies, including industry and other sponsors to ensure the SCPOR constituencies are aware of funding opportunities and grant writing.

**Minimum Education Requirements**:

- Extensive experience working with Indigenous people and communities with a proven track
- record of building positive relationships;
- Advanced writing, presenting, and communication skills.

**Salary: APT Pay Grade 6: $64,579 - $86,990**
