About the Faculty of Medicine
Welcome to the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine, the first and largest bilingual medical faculty in Canada. **Position purpose**:
**In this role, your responsibilities will include**:
Manages the undergraduate admissions process (updates, applies, prepares, and coordinates the operations schedule, etc.).
Provides expert advice to students by welcoming them and providing them with all the information they need on admission requirements, scholarships, program requirements, etc.
Checks the academic progress of students (ensures that they meet all the criteria to enrol in various courses and approves their enrolment), spots enrolment-related problems and proposes solutions or an action plan to program directors to minimize the repercussions on the service provided to students.
Participates in analyzing student academic performance to determine graduation, probation, or withdrawal, taking into account all Faculty and University regulations; submits contentious cases to the Supervisor of Academic Services; enters changes to marks in student files, analyzes the repercussions of these changes, and modifies the file as required; applies changes to the program and regulations approved by the Senate; participates in organizing and running regular and supplemental exams (5 sessions); ensures that exams run smoothly and resolves any potential problems.

Thorough knowledge of undergraduate and graduate programs, academic regulations and university services normally acquired through postsecondary education, or equivalent experience
Experience in evaluating academic files and procedures
Experience in assisting clients with academic matters
Experience in bilingual administrative writing
Very strong interpersonal communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Organizational skills; ability to work well under pressure and meet firm deadlines
Initiative, self-reliance, and sound judgment
Bilingualism — French and English (spoken and written)
