IT proudly provides the computer systems, security, IT services and governance that support AGLC’s businesses, including the operation & support of mission critical gaming, liquor and corporate systems running on a variety of computing platforms. IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls. IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

Then you have come to the right place AGLC is looking for a Network Analyst, Routing & Switching to support our Infrastructure team

In this senior-level role, your primary responsibility is to support the AGLC’s Corporate and Gaming Network infrastructure, which spans over 850 sites (a combination of office sites, casino, and VLT retailer locations) across Alberta. Duties include day-to-day support, maintenance, capacity management, Infrastructure design, and implementation of new technologies. The primary focus for this role will be on advanced routing and switching, SD-WAN, Enterprise Wireless Networks, and Automation with a minor focus on Application Delivery Controller (ADC), Network Security, and Cloud Technologies.

The responsibilities and accountabilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

- The design, configuration, deployment, and support of AGLC’s gaming and corporate networks.
- Configure, implement, and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching.
- Work directly with internal and external resources, vendors, and carriers to resolve issues across campus, data center, LAN, and WAN networks.
- Monitor AGLC’s gaming and corporate networks and establish reports for capacity planning and overall health of network devices.
- Identify and schedule network maintenance, repair, and upgrade tasks as needed while limiting the impact on the production network.
- Monitor the operations queue, perform support calls, and assist other analysts with technical issues.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance during deployment activities.
- Work with internal teams and key stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions for the organization.
- Work on projects (identify tasks, milestones, and deliverables) and technology roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain support documentation including diagrams, support guides, knowledge base articles, and procedures.

**SKILLS/ABILITIES**:
Minimum of a University Degree in a computer science or related discipline plus 2 years of related experience; preference will be given to individuals who have led projects

The following will be considered assets:

- A minimum of 5 years of networking infrastructure experience, which includes:

- Experience configuring and deploying enterprise-class networks including the following products Cisco Nexus 9k,7k,5k,2k Switches, Cisco Catalyst Switches and Cisco ASR / ISR Routers.
- Experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) Solutions.
- Strong understanding of external L2/L3 fabric connectivity and Experience in L2/L3 switching Architecture design. Must have a solid understanding in BGP, OSPF, VDC, vPC, VXLAN, ECMP and Fabric Path.
- Experience with the configuration and management of network devices such as Cisco routers and switches
- Experience with Python or Perl scripting languages is an added advantage.
- Knowledge on Cloud computing platforms.
- Cisco CCNP and/or CCIE certification would be an asset.
