Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian development non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in South Korea in 1991. After 5 years, we obtained consultative status with the United Nation’s Economic and Social Council (UNECOSOC). Good Neighbours Canada launched in March 2017 in London, Ontario, and moved to Scarborough, GTA in 2022. Under the Good Neighbors’ international governance, we focus on fundraising, refugee and newcomer settlement programs, and global development campaigns to support field projects.

**Community Marketing Coordinator**

The Community Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing inclusive marketing strategies to promote Good Neighbours Canada’s local programs supporting vulnerable groups including newcomers, refugees, racialized seniors and racialized youth. This role involves building partnerships, creating diverse and engaging content, utilizing video promotion, managing paid social media advertising, and exploring offline channels, to optimally reach underserved members of the community to support them in accessing free services which can enrich their lives.

**Responsibilities**
- Developing and implementing community marketing strategies to reach vulnerable groups who are eligible for Good Neighbours’ Canada's local programs; including targeting newcomers, refugees, people of color, and racialized seniors
- Cultivating relationships with local organizations and community groups to expand the reach of the charity's initiatives and create opportunities for collaboration and support.
- Creating engaging and inclusive content for various platforms, including social media, posters, newspapers and other promotional materials, to ensure a broad reach and respond to the various access points to each target group
- Developing and utilizing video editing skills to convey the impact and stories of those accessing our community programs to advertise to new prospective participants.
- Developing, managing and optimizing paid social media advertising campaigns to maximize visibility and engagement within target communities.
- Exploring and implementing offline marketing channels that resonate with each unique target group, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive approach to promotion.
- Collaborating with colleagues, including the Marketing Coordinator, to gather information and insights for marketing content, ensuring accuracy and authenticity in messaging.
- Fostering and maintaining a culture of inclusivity, respecting and valuing the diverse perspectives and contributions of all team members and community members; including responding to feedback relating to marketing materials.
- Working closely with program coordinators to align marketing efforts with the overall goals and objectives of Good Neighbours Canada’s community support programs.
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging partnerships to continuously enhance community marketing strategies.

**Qualifications**
- This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs scheme, therefore due to the funder’s requirements, applicants must be between the ages of 18-30 years old and hold Canadian citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- (Working towards) a degree or diploma in marketing, business, communications or related field
- Professional level fluency (spoken and written) in English (required) and Korean (bonus)
- Confident with photography, videography and editing in post, using tools like Adobe Premiere/Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Canva)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Intersectional and inclusive relationship-building skills, with a commitment to promoting equity and demonstrating respect towards different cultures and the varied backgrounds of our partner artisans.
- Strong relationship building skills, appreciation for diverse needs when liaising with vulnerable groups, experience working with marginalized populations
