**Job Summary**:

- Psychosocial Oncology, within Patient and Family Support Services, consists of a multidisciplinary team of social workers, clinical counsellors, and psychiatrists who provide assessment and counselling services to patients and families of CancerCare Manitoba. Education, research, and community program development are also significant activities within the department. This position will provide clinical counselling services to individuals, families, and groups at CancerCare Manitoba. The incumbent's primary site is St. Boniface. Clinical assignments may be assigned in other CCMB sites to provide coverage, if needed._

**Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- _Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) from a Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE) accredited school/faculty, or a Provincially authorized post-secondary program, or the approved equivalent if internationally educated_
- _A clinical internship/ field placement from an accredited program_
- _Minimum of three years of clinical counselling/consultation experience_
- _Registration or eligibility for registration by an appropriate licensing body_
- _Experience with building relationships and working in collaborative partnerships_
- _Strong interpersonal and written communication skills_
- _Strong problem solving, critical thinking, organizational skills_
- _Proficiency with MS Office; Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint_
- _Must hold a satisfactory employment record_
- _Must be legally able to work in Canada_

**Preferred**:

- _Clinical counselling/consultation experience in a healthcare environment_
- _Masters Degree in Social Work or other counselling related discipline_
- _Ability to speak French_
