_ARROW Utilities, a Capital Region Commission_ is a regional services Commission providing wastewater transmission and treatment services to nearly 400,000 people in 13 municipalities surrounding the City of Edmonton. ARROW owns and operates 200 km of wastewater transmission lines, 5 pumping stations, and a modern state of the art wastewater treatment plant.

Our mission is to provide safe, reliable, cost efficient and environmentally responsible wastewater transmission and treatment service.

ARROW is looking for a temporary full-time (35-hr work week) Social Media Content Creator. We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic student to join our team as a Social Media Content Creator on a temporary basis. In this role, you will be responsible for generating engaging content for our social media platforms to enhance our online presence and drive audience engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with a passion for social media marketing and content creation to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Specifically you will be responsible for:

- Creating compelling and visually appealing content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.
- Monitoring social media channels for trends, news, and conversations relevant to our brand and industry.
- Collaborating with team members to brainstorm creative ideas and concepts for social media content.
- Engaging with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyzing social media metrics and insights to track the performance of content and campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in social media marketing and content creation.

Ø Be a recent graduate or currently enrolled as a student in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Digital Media) at a recognized post-secondary institution.

Ø Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Ø Be proficient in using social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite).

Ø Be creative and have the ability to think outside the box to develop innovative content ideas.

Ø Basic graphic design skills and experience using design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) would be an asset.

Ø Knowledge of social media analytics and experience with reporting tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Google Analytics) is preferred.

Ø Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Ø Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on new challenges.

Ø A workplace safety mindset is fundamental.
