**Description**

JOB REQUISITON TITLE

We are looking for a talented Purchasing / Procurement Coordinatorto join our team #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.


In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

- Applies developing business process and project management skills within an area of business or technical specialty. Manages small portions of well defined projects. Provides administrative and logistics support for a project team and project manager.
- Serves as a resource on projects and work assignments; employs basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding.
- Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues.
- Monitors and communicates project status to project team.
- Assists with budget planning and tracking, research, and analytical support; provides input into the design and development of project plans and timelines.
- Assists with managing project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk.
- Documents and shares team learnings with other teams; draws on other experiences to enhance the success of the project.
- Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Manager on status of specific projects and assignments.

- Manages conflict - Handling conflict situations effectively, with a minimum of noise.
- Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

**Education, Licenses, Certifications**
- College, university, or equivalent degree required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

**Experience**

Minimal level of relevant work experience required.
- Primary objective of this function is to support Project Managers of complex projects to generate demands in our ERP system (IFS)
- From the Engineering outputs (bill of materials - BOM), takes care of introducing in the ERP System (IFS) the complete list of demands to enable Procurement team to start purchasing the required materials and equipment for the manufacturing to start
- Manage various accounts with downstream product supply from orders to delivery, logistics and inventory management, support the Projects Managers in following up the procurement activities.
- Review RFQ and RFP, reviewing for completeness and necessary information to obtain competitive quotes.
- Supports the procurement team in evaluating supplier proposals submitted in response to RFP
- Coordinate inventory returns and refunds for non-conforming or out of specification material.
- Ordering goods and services, setting up new vendors in the ERP system, and customer service.
- Coordinate facilitation for meetings and provide back-up support to buyers.
- Assist buyers in obtaining quotes and finalizing purchase requisitions on indirect materials.
- Work independently within establish procedures, including coordination and resolution of problems
- Checks suppliers invoices and orders for accuracy
- Verify shipments and check into ERP system.
- Provide support to buyers with daily tasks including contacting suppliers regarding past due orders and price negotiation.
- Monitor order status (early and late) and enter acknowledgements and quotes into visual ERP software.
- Communicate and interact effectively with buyers, internal customers, and suppliers on any purchasing relate items.
- Prepare (RFQ) request for quotation drawing files and material quotes
