We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to support our Toronto Studio.
Purpose: Why you’re here at 9 Story Media Group
- To provide bookkeeping functions and accounting administrative duties as required by the Corporate Accounting department.
- To provide general office administration and assistance to the Corporate Accounting team, as needed.

Delivery: What you produce
- Collect and organize invoices from vendors and internal departments
- Enter invoices into Microsoft Great Plains, generate cash required for 3 Corporate companies
- Generate and submit EFT batches bi-weekly for approval and processing
- Prepare and submit wire approval sheets for wire payments
- Bank reconciliations and monthly financial reports
- Prepare and enter Intercompany invoices and transactions
- Other data entry requirements requested

Measurements: How we measure it
- Accuracy, timeliness and compliance of deliverables (as above)
- Backups saved in correct location and up to date
- Feedback from Corporate accountants and Director of Finance

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsibilities: What you are regularly responsible for doing
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
- Collect Invoices from vendors and internal departments
- Submit invoices for approval and ensure all invoices have proper internal approval
- Organize all invoices between 3 Corporate companies and enter in Great Plains
- Generate cash required bi-weekly
- Submit EFT and wires bi-weekly for approval and processing
- Update Great Plains with intercompany transfers and wire payments made
- Generate Intercompany invoices and distribute to production accounting team

GENERAL LEDGER
- Assist in preparing month end reports and financials
- Generate journal entries weekly into GP
- Weekly bank reconciliations
- Reconcile intercompany and maintain consolidated intercompany schedule

MANAGEMENT REPORTING
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet and income statements
- Assist in financial statement account review on a monthly basis to ensure completeness, existence, accuracy and classification in the general ledger

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
- Assist in preparation of year-end tax filing and Audit support
- Other tasks, activities and projects as required
