We are seeking an Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) to join our Ethylene 2 (E2) Production Team at our Joffre Site in Central Alberta, near Red Deer. Reporting to the Production Unit Leader, you will be accountable for scheduling and prioritizing maintenance work orders to meet production objectives. You will support and optimize Maintenance Effectiveness and act as a critical communication link between Operations (Coordinators, Process Engineers), Maintenance (Maintenance Planning, Coordinators), Purchasing, Reliability, Inspection and Project Designated Site Representative.

**You will Use Your Expertise To**:Execute Work**:
Screen new notifications for duplication, incorrect routing, adequate information and facilitate the daily notification screening and routing meeting working in collaboration with the Production Coordinator
Identify tasks within the Capital Work business process designated for Maintenance execution and ensure that a notification is created and saved in SAP for routing through the Maintenance Work Management (MWM) Business process, collaborating with the Events, Turnaround, and Projects Coordinator.
Route screened notifications to Planned Work or Turnaround Queue in alignment with MWM business process standards
Create efficient operational plans for unit maintenance and expense work, and convey them to shift operations
Represent Production in defining work scopes, aligning work requests to a budget and establishing the timing for maintenance and unit expense project work execution against production optimization
Lead major shutdown/outage scope development and work with MWM partners Understand key reliability, maintenance effectiveness and cost objectives for the Production Unit Team (PUT) and act as a key player in their success Manage a backlog of operational notifications Monitor specified unit maintenance metrics, report any deviations, and initiate corrective actions as needed
Support and participate in continuous improvement teams
Participate in cost management teams
Create/modify work to add/delete steps or operations for time only
Advise Warehouse and Purchasing of cancelled work orders

**Schedule Work**:
Create, maintain and update weekly schedules.
Validate weekly schedules that can be executed given current constraints.
Partner with Maintenance and Operations Coordinators to develop a realistic schedule and address any issues that arise
Develop and update a six-quarter (6Q) schedule that identifies all major maintenance work activities in the unit
Release and schedule Preventative Maintenance (PM) work orders
Monitor and maintain realistic start dates
Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance (PM) requirements, including vessel inspection, rotating equipment, instrument/electrical equipment, relief valves, etc., through efficient scheduling
Arrange for operations contract resources in support of any maintenance or expense project work
Communicate decisions to interrupt schedule due to unforeseen circumstances, i.e., emergency work, unit outage.
Support the Improvement Multi-Discipline Team (IMT) with technical workflow prioritization.
**What We Are Looking For**: 2-year technical school diploma, or a valid Alberta and Inter-provincial (Red Seal) Journeyperson certificate, with 10+ years of related experience OR 12+ years combination of post-secondary technical education and related experience OR 12+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing discipline or equivalent technology environment
Working knowledge of Maintenance Work Management Processes (i.e., notifications, work orders, planning, scheduling, execution and follow-up)
Proven track record and personal dedication to Responsible Care® principles
Proven capability to work to broadly defined objectives, overcoming barriers
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Proven leadership abilities complemented by strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
