We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Administrative Specialist. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills.

Based in Saskatoon and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Administrative Specialist is detail-orientated, is adept in technology and has excellent technical accounting, organizational and communicative skills. They enjoy working as part of a team and can effectively prioritize tasks.

**Job Title**: Administrative Specialist

**Term**: Full Time

**Workplace**: In office
- Support CFO in accounting and general administration functions
- Establish in-depth understanding of accounting software specific to North Star Systems
- Support and contribute to supplier and client administration
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes including account reconciliations, establishing timelines for deliverables, preparing journal entries, research and resolving issues
- Understand relationships between the separate general ledger systems
- Support administrative functions, phones, office supplies, meeting organization, postal duties, etc.
- Drive process improvement activities by leading or supporting projects and other initiatives

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in administration
- Experience with MS Excel and other Office tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Degree or Diploma in accounting, commerce or other relevant accreditation is an asset
- Experience in the following areas will be extremely helpful, but not required
- Agriculture
- IoT/m2m technologies
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
