Inside Sales Supervisor

**Summary**:Under the general direction of the Inside Sales Manager, this individual is responsible for providing support to customers and outside sales representatives, ensuring the customer’s needs are met. Primary activities in this role include making outbound calls to customers, processing requests for quotes, processing orders, supporting the full sales process (answering simple price and product availability questions, providing technical, solution orientated assistance, maintaining and developing quality relationships with clients, and following up with customers).
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities - include the following. Other duties may be assigned.**
- Process Request for Quotes (RFQ) by issuing SAP generated quote for all requests based on an understanding of market conditions and historical pricing
- Participate in internal collaboration in determining an appropriate course of action for a given sales opportunity based on set expectations that are consistent with the company’s strategic direction.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and departments within Lapp to ensure satisfaction based on the customer’s needs, costs and time constraints.
- Provides high level technical support (such as product identification and cross reference) or redirects technical inquiries to the appropriate Product Management contact.
- Proactively seeks customers through cold calling new potential customers, reconnecting with lapsed customers, and other customer opportunities.
- Creates call plans and executes those plans via proactive calling campaigns with a primary focus on increasing sales growth YOY, reconnecting with lapsing and lapsed customers and ultimately driving spec.
- Assist in obtaining market data (including but not limited to competitor part numbers and pricing), and provide feedback to Management, Product management, and Sales Teams as needed.
- Assists customers to improve delivery dates by initiating expedites in SAP along with CSR.
- Receives, enters, and verifies orders from customers.
- Track and manage win ratio and profitability based on set expectations
- Processes sample requests.
- Responsible for ship and debit reporting and processing.
- Works with the IS Manager to develop training plans for new Lapp Canada Account Managers and leads functional trainings to ensure standards are met and processes followed for new associates.
- Responsible to run booking and shipping reports.
- Enters monthly copper updates for Lapp Canada in SAP and reports to customers.
- Runs BI reports for the team as requested.
- Acts as the point of contact for the Lapp Canada IS team internally to respond to issues and relay feedback.
- Manages Anixter POS Reporting and provides break down to regional territory assignments.
**Supervisory Responsibilities**:This position has direct reports (Inside Account Managers). This person is expected to provide first line support to all Inside Account Managers within the department. This individual is expected to encourage and promote a positive team atmosphere within their department. This person is also responsible to assist in providing the necessary development and ongoing training to new and existing team members.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree from a College or University program.
- Minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in the wire and cable industry.
**Language Skills**:Fluency in English written and spoken is required. Fluency in French is preferred. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write report
