Under the direction of the Senior Manager Payroll, the Payroll Team Lead (Team Lead) will be responsible for leading the accurate weekly multi-provincial payroll function (including Quebec) of WesTower Communication’s busy payroll department. This position will be responsible for leading the hands-on elements of payroll administration, specifically in the processing of 2 ever-changing weekly payrolls for approximately 500+ corporate and field employees, benefits administration, and supervision of 3 payroll team members.

Work Duties
- Leading the overall hands-on processing of 2 multi-provincial weekly payrolls ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met
- Upload imported hours from site manual timesheets (mínimal)
- Enter required special adjustments
- Initiate any follow up as required with payroll administrators or supervisors
- Review payrolls for final adjustments as required and submit for final approval by Senior Payroll Manager
- Process and commit weekly payrolls on schedule to meet tight deadlines
- Run weekly payroll GL to be reconciled and posted to Accounting Software system
- Responsible for administering banked overtime and importing it as required
- Supervision, support and development of payroll administrators and technicians
- Lead T4 production and year end, along with other year end requirements directly with payroll provider, working in collaboration with the Senior Payroll Manager
- Lead benefit administration and reconciliation
- Lead RPP administration
- Lead company payroll initiatives (example - semi-yearly allowance administration)
- Answer employee inquiries and recommend solutions as required
- Ad hoc reporting and other duties as required
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 10 years payroll experience, including experience working with multi-provincial payrolls and virtual teams
- Minimum of PCP Designation from the NPI - equivalent proven experience may be accepted
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce (Release 63) - equivalencies may be considered
- Experience with Sage 300 is an asset
- Demonstrated understanding of Provincial Employment Standards
- Experience with group benefit plans and disability administration
- Experience with administering private pension plans
- Flexibility of working in office or hybrid as required
- Ability to ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time
- Must be a team player willing to work with a diverse group of all levels of employees
- Willingness to learn or understand information feeds between payroll systems and benefit providers
- Ability to understand reporting requirements mainly in Excel
- Ability to work with formulated Excel spreadsheets
- Customer service attitude with the understanding our employees are our clients
- Understanding or exposure to Quebec payroll administration is desired
- Ability to collaborate with payroll leadership effectively
