**Job Summary**

This position reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor. The Accounting Coordinator II shall have the overall responsibilities to process vendor invoices, reconcile intercompany transactions in the accounting system and communicate with the vendors for any unpaid invoices. Other responsibilities include preparing adjustments & monthly reports, journal entries, and troubleshooting with other departments relating to payments to vendors or other Nippon Express Group companies.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain and monitor accounts payable open items, including reconciliation to vendor statements
- Processing vendor invoices for payment in the accounting system
- Processing adjustments, corrections, and accruals in the accounting system
- Reconciling, maintaining and settlement of intercompany AR & AP
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned
- Interbranch reconciliations including preparing transfer slips & investigate open items
- Troubleshoot with operation teams, vendors/clients, and other NX Group companies
- Preparing monthly reports for management
- All other accounting duties as needed

**Qualifications/Competencies**
- Minimum 2-3 years of direct work experience in a similar position
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards
- Working knowledge of sales taxes across all Provinces
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Basic knowledge of ERP System (AS400 and SAP preferred)
- Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
- Good communication skills, including written and verbal skills in English (French a plus)
- Able to multi-task, remain objective in stressful situations
- Ability to work overtime on occasion
- Strong time-management skills

**Educations/Certifications**
- College diploma required or equivalent experience
- University degree in accounting or business is a plus
