**JOB SUMMARY**:
**DUTIES**:
- Provides overall day to day management of the Learning Management System, including:
- Administration, troubleshooting and reporting within the Learning and Development portfolio
- Maximizing use of LMS features and capabilities, and leading implementation of new features
- Acting as an LMS Subject Matter Expertise, providing expert guidance to users and content developers regarding LMS features and capability
- Working collaboratively with ITS in testing, problem-solving, and implementing new releases and updates
- Creates and maintains learning activity structures (e.g. curriculum pages, learning paths) and uploads learning content
- Creation of documentation and instruction to enable effective and knowledgeable use of the LMS
- Provides reports from the LMS; Consults with stakeholders to determine reporting needs and analyze system capabilities to meet those needs.
- Remains current with the system’s functionality and how it can best serve the organization’s current and future needs
- Creates and delivers reporting and metrics for Learning and Development activities (e.g. KPIs, monthly statistics))
- Provides customer service as the primary contact for Learning and Development inquiries
- Manages administrative functions (e.g. registrations for external courses, invoices, room bookings, attendance rosters, and other logistics)
- Supports the evaluation of TPL’s learning and development program
- Maintains TPL’s Learning and Development intranet page
- Collaborates with the Learning and Development team and other stakeholders in advancing TPL’s learning program
- Participates in related projects and committees
- Collaborate with team and other stakeholders in the development and coordination of best practices for staff training and development, especially online learning
- Performs other related duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Post-secondary degree plus a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in workplace or adult learning or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Minimum of two (2) years’ LMS administration and management experience. Experience with Cornerstone LMS is an asset
- Certificate in workplace learning adult education an asset
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in use of Microsoft Suite
- Strong technology skills to support use of the LMS (e.g. html, cgi)
- Experience with statistical and data reporting
- Understanding and appreciation of the philosophy of public service to all, in accordance with human rights legislation and the principles of equity and access in the delivery of library service
- Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability, skills and experience in working under pressure and developing harmonious relations with staff, customers, and external contacts
- Ability to perform work requiring independent judgement and initiative with a consultative and collaborative approach
- Demonstrated leadership in advancing the importance of continuous learning and staff development
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
