**Co-op/Career Advisor**:
**Primary Purpose**:
The Co-op/Careers Advisor, working closely with the Co-op & Career Coordinators, plays an important role in increasing and facilitating the employability of students through effective liaison with employers, faculty and students. They provide support to the Edwards School of Business in the administration of career development programs and services dedicated to enhancing the Edwards student experience.

**Nature of Work**:
Reporting to the Director, Undergraduate Programs and Career Services, this position works with students in an advisory role delivering career consulting and employment services to diverse domestic and international students, including Co-op students, undergraduate students and alumni. The Co-op Coordinator/Career Advisor works closely with employers to educate and ensure satisfaction with the Co-op program and Career Services. This position contributes to the development and maintenance of co-op processes and policies and works closely with the Edwards Student & Faculty Services Office. The successful applicant must be able to work flexible hours, including potential evenings and weekends and travel within and outside the province when required.

**Accountabilities**:

- Co-op duties would include recruitment, retention, supervision, and evaluation of Co-op students in the Edwards Co-operative Education Program (pd workshops, interviews, site visits, marking, resolve issues etc.).
- Employer outreach and engagement including setting up Co-op placements, hosting info-sessions and hallway visits.
- Career advising (resume review, mock interviews, job search).
- Review and posting of employer jobs on university portal (Edwards CareerLink).
- Develop and deliver informative and successful regularized job search workshops to promote and encourage student career development.
- Event coordination and planning to ensure success of Edwards Career Services events including but not limited to Co-op Networking Open House and EdwardsConnect Employer Career Expo.
- Responsible for Edwards Mentorship Program in its entirety.
- Lead on maintenance and updating of Edwards Career Services Student PAWS website.
- Responsible for LinkedIn Photo Station monthly bookings.
- Provide on-going support to the Director, Undergraduate Programs and Career Services and other duties as required.

**Education**:
A Bachelor of Commerce is preferred, a four-year undergraduate degree in a related area would be considered.

**Experience**:
A minimum of one to three years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands. Prior experience with co-op programs would be considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Must hold and maintain a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and have access to a vehicle.

**Skills**:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to groups of all sizes.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and pro-active with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong networking and business development skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Extremely professional and organized.
- Experience with Banner/SiRIUS desired.
- Strong networking abilities.
- Knowledge of the Bachelor of Commerce program desired.
