The Canfisco Group (Canfisco) is a fishing industry icon, with 117 years in the seafood industry. Canfisco harvests, processes, and markets sustainable seafood products from the coastal waters of British Columbia and Alaska to over 43 countries around the world.

Our company has a diverse and complex organizational structure with operations both in Canada (British Columbia) and the United States (Washington and Alaska) and employs over 4,000+ employees and fish harvesters during the peak season.

**THE ROLE**:
We are currently seeking an experienced logistics specialist to add to our growing logistics team. Primary responsibilities include preparing documents for shipments to overseas customers, coordinating with sales and operations, customer correspondence, negotiating with shipping lines/freight forwarders and staying one step ahead of changing export rules and regulations.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan, coordinate and execute export orders by securing a booking through freight forwarders/carriers and providing instructions to warehouse.
- Prepare required certificates, commercial invoice, and other documents for shipments.
- Communicate with customers regarding status of their orders and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Create sales orders in the inventory management system and post invoices.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies related to product quantities, payments or invoices.
- Keep current with changing regulations and necessary permits/certificates necessary to export worldwide (28 countries+)
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues or improve processes.
- Verify, code, and submit invoices from service providers for payment.
- Maintain export shipment log and organize files.

**QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE / SKILLS)**:

- Minimum 5 years of export logistics documentation experience required (shipments outside Canada and the United States).
- Experience with frozen/ perishable products will be given priority.
- Must have own vehicle (location is not transit accessible).
- Post secondary education in business and/or, supply chain management are an asset.
- Organized, systematic and detail oriented.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and pivot when necessary.
- Strong problem-solving skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
