We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our team at GMW Freight Services (Canada) Ltd.

Job Summary

The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, monitoring the movement of supplies and materials between departments, and preparing and submitting reports. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments to optimize logistics
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to improve productivity and product quality
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse and production units to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Compile worksheets and specifications of orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Keep track of shipments and ensure timely delivery to customers
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in logistics or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office
