**Your Opportunity**:
Provides clerical services for the Record Processing section of Health Information Management. This position may be responsible for one or more of the following tasks to ensure immediate access to patient information: process outpatient/ inpatient, day surgery, emergency and ambulatory care visit documentation, performs deficiency management functions, performs applicable release of information duties, maintains control of patient records to ensure immediate access, maintains the integrity of the Records Management and ADT databases, filing, scanning, covers Patient Registration breaks and performs other related duties to support Health Information Management. Other duties as required.

As an Administrative Support II, you will require administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Successful completion of Medical Terminology course (testing will be performed). 2 years Health Information - Records Management experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with clients, nursing staff, and physicians. Ability to prioritize and organize work in a fast-paced environment while receiving mínimal supervision. The excellent attendance record, reliability, and personal suitability must be demonstrated through employment references. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Superior customer service skills. Proven accuracy in spelling, keyboarding, and attention to detail. Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm (testing will be performed). Proven initiative and ability to work with mínimal supervision.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Familiarity of Alberta Health Services Programs. Working knowledge of patient/ client filing systems, particularly terminal digit systems.
